The system consists of a set of 42 pickups (one for each bar plus 5 spare), two collecting rails with volume trimpots for each individual bar and the Mini Mixer with all cable and hanger accessories, transport cases, mounting materials, and detailed instructions.

The K&K vibraphone amplification system is played by Mike Mainieri, Dave Samuels, David Friedman, Joe Locke, Tom Toyama, and many more. It was also used by the legendary Lionel Hampton. His instrument, with the K&K system, was donated to the Smithsonian Museum on his 90th birthday.

Since we had to discontinue the MIDI systems, we have been searching for a substitute and we finally found an effect-unit that works extremely well and opens a world of innovative new sounds. It creates a digital copy of the vibe sound that can be pitch shifted (x4) plus it can be digitally re-shaped into some very interesting sounds that resemble anything from a smooth flute to an aggressive electric guitar tone.
