The K&K Trinity Pro System is an absolute necessity for my live performances. The internal condensor microphone is crucial for amplifying percussive slaps and taps. Paired with an all around warm, and natural acoustic tone I couldn’t be happier with my Trinity Pro System! Thanks K&K!”
Nick Johnson was born in American Fork, Utah on December 25th 1990. He began his musical journey at the age of 12. Like many other young teens, Nick started out on the electric guitar. He was drawn to, and inspired by the classic riffs and solos of bands such as, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, and Black Sabbath. After years of practicing in his bedroom, Nick joined his first of many metal bands at age 16.
Now at age 24, Nick has set aside the electric guitar for a steel string acoustic. He discovered a love of classical music while attending college, which ultimately led to his love of fingerstyle technique. Taking influence from artists such as, Andy McKee, Jon Gomm, Mike Dawes, and Antoine Dufour, Nick has paired the fingerstyle influences with his deep Rock and Metal background to create a sound all his own.
Nick began releasing his own material via social media in early 2014. By incorporating technical compositions, with the visually entertaining aspects of modern fingerstyle guitar Nick has quickly gained a respectable following. Shortly thereafter, Nick happily joined forces with the world renowned Stonebridge/Furch guitar company. On March 17th, 2015, Nick Johnson’s debut EP entitled “Held in Reverie” was officially released world wide. Due to the success of the EP and the corresponding Youtube videos Nick has recently began taking his act on the road. With two successfull U.S. tours under his belt in 2015, Nick Johnson is looking forward to playing many more shows nationally and internationally in the near future.
