André started studying music at the age of 9 when he began to take saxophone and clarinet lessons. When he was 10 years old, he got his first classical guitar from his cousin and since then has continued to deepen his musical studies.
He is currently doing a Master’s level research in Music at the State University of Campinas-Brazil on the use of guitar as accompaniment in Brazilian popular music, and seeks to further his studies in Brazilian music for guitar. He also works as an arranger and music educator.
