Octavio Barattucci
“Since 2014 I have had my 7-string classical guitar built by the luthier Emmanuel Abeldaño in which I have installed a K&K Pure Classic. I never thought I could amplify my instrument with such a natural, warm sound, without the "plastic" sound that undersaddle piezo pickups usually have.
When I used the Pure Classic in the recording studio, the sound engineer was astonished! There was no noise floor at all. This usually does not happen with other systems. Since then I recommend K&K for amplifying acoustic instruments!"
Octavio Barattucci sings, composes and plays his songs with his eclectic 7-string guitar. The lyrics, all his own, are sung by his voice; personal and bittersweet. The subject matter ranges from minimal stories that surround him, to panoramic views of society; historical and current.
After two decades of participation as guitarist, singer, arranger and producer of various projects, he unfolds his solo version of his own songs, sprinkled with heterogeneous elements in rhythmic, timbre and harmonic.
Thus we find songs like "Candombe marplatense", which takes us to the adolescence of a young man and his experiences in the emblematic Atlantic city. Or "Crónicas del Flaco", a modern milonga that reveals the life and work of a character from the suburban youth; and "Apedreada Buenos Aires", which serves as a modern "sainete" and recounts the events of December 2001 with an electro-acoustic tango tone. If variety makes for taste, their first album "Marginal" conquers from the breadth of its proposal.
Based in Berlin, Octavio Barattucci has toured in Germany, Argentina, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Belgium, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Poland, Sweden and Austria.
