Sotos Bakas was born in 1989 in Athens, Greece.
His interest in music started at age 15, when he began playing the drums. At the age of 18, intrigued by the world of music production, he began his studies in Sound Engineering and Music Technology. In 2011 he completed his bachelor’s degree with honours at the IEK AKMI in Athens, Greece, and immediately after was accepted for a Master’s degree in Music Production and Composition at the Utrecht School of Arts (HKU) in the Netherlands.
While doing his Masters Degree Sotos in early 2011 started playing the guitar.After releasing his first solo multi-instrumental EP "Odyssey" and completing his master’s degree in 2012, he found himself getting more and more interested in the style of fingerstyle & percussive acoustic guitar.
Since then he has been focusing on composing music for solo acoustic guitar and mixing- mastering the music for solo artists and bands at his home studio in Hilversum, Netherlands. His studio productions have been released by well known musicians and channels such as Candyrat Records.
Sotos continues composing fingerstyle music and planning to make his first full length guitar album this year while looking to play in as many shows as possible and working as a producer at his studio with different musicians and bands from Netherlands, Germany, France, England, Greece etc.
