Straight-Rail Vibraphone System

The system consists of a set of 42 pickups (one for each of the vibraphone's 37 bars, plus 3 spare), two collecting rails with volume trimpots for each individual bar, and the Mini Mixer with all cable and hanger accessories, transport cases, mounting materials, and detailed instructions.

The K&K vibraphone amplification system is played by Mike Mainieri, Dave Samuels, David Friedman, Joe Locke, Tom Toyama, and many more. It was also used by the legendary Lionel Hampton. His instrument, with the K&K system, was donated to the Smithsonian Museum on his 90th birthday.

The Mini Mixer

The 3-channel Mini Mixer which allows perfect adjustment of the three octave ranges (f-f/f#-e/f-f) corresponding to wide, medium and narrow width tone bars. These EQ and volume adjustments are done inside the Mini Mixer with a supplied small screwdriver via trim pots. The system is preprogrammed for a Musser Pro Vibe.
