Dirk Freymuth
After spending many years trying different acoustic guitar pickups, I now have all of my acoustic guitars outfitted with a Trinity Pro System, combined with the superb K&K Quantum Blender. I love the continuity of sound from one guitar to the next. The unique characteristics of each guitar is retained while being amplified with the pristine K&K tone.
Dr. Dirk Freymuth is a guitarist, producer, composer, and educator. As an acoustic guitarist he has performed with artists such as Peter Ostroushko, Andrea Beaton, John Gorka, Alice Peacock, Billy McLaughlin, and many others. Today he performs primarily with world-renown uillean piper, Eric Rigler, with whom he has collaborated since 2014. Dirk is also a multi-instrumentalist and musicologist specializing in music of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. He earned his doctoral degree in Early Music Performance at the University of Southern California in 2005. Since 2011 Dr. Freymuth has been teaching audio production, historical performance, and American music history at Western Oregon University.
